LaTasha Hewitt

LaTasha Hewitt currently serves as the communication director at Allegheny East Conference (AEC). A post she has held since 2014. She is a graduate of Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a minor in psychology. After graduation, she taught English literature at Pine Forge Academy in Pine Forge, Pennsylvania for two years before obtaining her Master’s in English and Publishing from Rosemont College in Rosemont, Pennsylvania. After spending several years in the publishing industry, in 2010, she joined the Allegheny East Conference’s Youth Department. While serving, she developed her love for ministry. In addition to her current role as communication director for AEC, she also serves as the Church Ministries coordinator, where she facilitates department initiatives, acts as a liaison between her fellow directors and administration, and serves as a representative on various conference committees. LaTasha says, “What an awesome responsibility to serve as a connector; to connect our constituents to each other, to connect others to the conference, and most importantly to connect EVERYONE to Christ.” LaTasha is married to Andre, a therapist, and together they have two spirited daughters, Omara, who is 12 years old, and Kayden, who is 10. She enjoys reading, shopping, real estate, traveling, and learning. She lives her life by the mantra, “What God has for me…is for me.”
